Creator and Affiliate Terms
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These terms supplement the Terms of Service for anyone applying to or participating in the Pop Terminal creator and affiliate program (the "Program"). Approval is discretionary and may be revoked. The initial Program is limited to approved US creators and USD.
Sandbox program: no real earnings
Stripe, Connect onboarding, subscription revenue, commissions, holds, statements, and payouts currently operate in test mode. Every displayed payout is a "Test payout - no real funds." Sandbox balances have no cash value, are not wages or amounts owed, and may be reset. Participation does not create a right to payment. A live program would begin only after explicit written notice, approval of live terms, tax onboarding, and activation of live payment infrastructure.
FTC and material-connection disclosure
Creators must clearly and conspicuously disclose their relationship to Pop Terminal whenever a reasonable viewer may not expect it. The disclosure must appear with the endorsement, before or near the referral link, in plain language such as "I may earn a commission if you subscribe through this link." A profile-page disclosure, ambiguous tag, or disclosure hidden after "more" is not enough by itself. Creators should review the FTC's Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers.
Creators must also disclose material positions, compensation, gifts, or other conflicts related to a discussed issuer when applicable. Required platform, FTC, SEC, FINRA, state, and other advertising or securities-law disclosures remain the creator's responsibility. Pop Terminal share-card text supplements, but does not replace, contextual disclosure.
Commission rule for an eventual live program
Subject to these Terms, an approved creator receives 25% of net collected subscription revenue from an attributed subscriber for that subscriber's first 12 paid months. Net collected revenue excludes taxes, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, credits, and discounts. A free account, test checkout, failed payment, or sandbox subscription produces no live commission.
Attribution
The first valid creator touch is eligible for attribution for 30 days. An explicitly entered valid creator code may override the referral cookie before checkout. Attribution locks after conversion and does not transfer between creators afterward. Pop Terminal may reject duplicate, automated, self-referred, manipulated, or otherwise invalid traffic and may correct attribution errors.
Holds, settlement, and reversals
In an eventual live Program, qualifying commissions enter a 30-day hold. Monthly settlement is calculated on the fifth business day. The minimum payout is $50; an available balance below that threshold rolls forward. Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, credits, and later-discovered invalid conversions create reversals that may reduce future balances. Statements and ledger entries control over dashboard estimates.
Tax and payout onboarding
A creator must complete required identity, tax, and payout onboarding and keep details current before any eventual live payout. Stripe Connect Express may be used where available. Pop Terminal may withhold or report amounts as required by law. Creators are responsible for their own taxes and professional advice. No employer, employee, partnership, agency, or fiduciary relationship is created.
Permitted promotion
Creators may use approved links, codes, and share cards for truthful, source-linked educational promotion. Claims must reflect the current product, plan limits, data freshness, sandbox status, and methodology. Creators may express opinions but may not present a score as a probability, guarantee, personalized recommendation, or instruction to trade.
Prohibited conduct
- Self-referrals or purchases for controlled accounts.
- Fake, bot, incentivized, misleading, or purchased conversions.
- Cookie stuffing, hidden redirects, code injection, or attribution interference.
- Spam, deceptive ads, impersonation, trademark bidding without permission, or unlawful claims.
- Guaranteed-return, risk-free, urgency, or fabricated performance claims.
- Redistributing licensed data or removing source, date, freshness, or educational disclosures.
- Exposing subscriber PII or private portfolio holdings.
- Market manipulation or promotion that violates securities, advertising, privacy, or consumer law.
Review, suspension, and termination
Suspicious applications, clicks, or conversions may be reviewed and held. Pop Terminal may request substantiation, pause links or balances, reverse invalid entries, or terminate participation for risk, abuse, legal requirements, provider restrictions, or violation of these Terms. A creator may leave the Program at any time; disclosure duties for existing endorsements and valid reversals survive. Creators must reasonably cooperate with Pop Terminal's disclosure education, monitoring, and remediation process.
Analytics and confidentiality
Creator dashboards show aggregate clicks, signups, conversions, and ledger states without subscriber PII. Analytics can be delayed, deduplicated, or corrected and are not guaranteed. Nonpublic product, security, subscriber, and payout information must remain confidential unless disclosure is legally required.
Changes and contact
We may change or discontinue the Program. Material economic changes will be communicated before they apply to future live activity. Program questions may be sent to hello@popcapital.io.
Launch review required: the owner and qualified counsel must confirm the contracting entity, governing law, creator application agreement, tax and 1099 workflow, Connect availability, advertising-monitoring process, and state-specific independent-contractor and auto-renewal requirements before any live commission or payout is enabled.
