Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to Pop Terminal's websites, applications, research features, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked below. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract to use the Service. You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your credentials, and all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@popcapital.io if you suspect unauthorized use.

Educational research only

Pop Terminal organizes market, company, analyst, ownership, filing, and news data for general educational research. It is not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, fiduciary, exchange, or trade-execution service. The Service does not know all facts about your finances and does not provide personalized investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. Scores, event labels, portfolio analytics, creator research, alerts, and terms such as "strengthening" or "weakening" are research descriptions, not instructions or recommendations to buy, sell, hold, or size a security. Read the Financial Disclaimer and Data Limitations before relying on any output.

Scores, evidence, AI, and portfolios

The Base Conviction score and Event Pulse use a published, rules-based methodology. A Confidence score is neither a probability of profit nor a prediction of future returns. Data may be delayed, revised, incomplete, unavailable, or wrong. AI may structure or summarize cited evidence, but AI output can omit context or make mistakes. Portfolio tools use only the holdings and weights you provide; they do not account for assets outside the Service, liquidity needs, taxes, suitability, or your complete risk profile. Review the underlying sources and use independent judgment.

Plans, trials, subscriptions, and billing

Features and usage limits depend on your plan and may be enforced on the server. Eligible new subscribers may receive one five-day Pro trial per person and normalized email address. A payment method is required, and unless canceled before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to the selected paid plan at the price and interval shown at checkout. Stripe processes payments and sends receipts. You may manage or cancel a subscription through the billing portal. Cancellation and refund terms are described in the Refund Policy.

User content and private portfolio data

You retain ownership of notes, portfolio entries, and other content you submit. You grant Pop Terminal a limited license to host, process, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service. Holdings are private to the account owner unless the owner expressly chooses a sharing feature. Share cards must not expose holdings or personal data that you did not intentionally include.

Creator research and affiliate relationships

Creator content reflects the creator's views, not a Pop Terminal recommendation. Creators may have positions in discussed securities and may receive referral credit. Creators must disclose material connections clearly and follow the Creator and Affiliate Terms. A referral relationship does not change the canonical score or evidence shown to Free or Pro users.

Acceptable use

You may use the Service for lawful personal or internal research. You may not: bypass access controls or quotas; probe or disrupt systems; scrape, bulk-download, resell, sublicense, or redistribute provider data; remove source attribution; submit malicious code; impersonate another person; manipulate referrals; use the Service for market manipulation or other unlawful conduct; or use outputs to train a competing model or database where prohibited by law, contract, or provider rights. Reasonable use of creator share tools is permitted subject to their displayed attribution and disclosures.

Third-party services and source rights

The Service depends on third-party market-data, authentication, hosting, analytics, email, AI, and payment providers. Their services and linked source pages may have separate terms. Pop Terminal does not grant you any rights to redistribute third-party content beyond the limited display and sharing features expressly provided in the Service.

YouTube API Services and external video content

Where enabled, video features embed and link to third-party content, including content discovered through the YouTube API Services. Your use of those features is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. Pop Terminal does not control, endorse, or verify third-party creators or comments. Educational commentary embedded in the Service is not financial advice. You may revoke Google's access to your data at any time via the Google security settings page.

Intellectual property

Pop Terminal's software, design, trademarks, scoring presentation, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access for violations, security or legal risk, provider restrictions, nonpayment, or discontinuation of the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute terms, will survive.

Service changes and availability

We may change features, supported symbols, providers, limits, or the methodology. Material methodology changes will receive a new model version so historical output remains attributable. We do not promise uninterrupted access or coverage of every US-listed security.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or investment performance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pop Terminal and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages, or for trading losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service. Applicable law may give you rights that cannot be waived, and nothing here limits those rights.
